Our Ideology

Sharing low intervention wine through subscription

We try to be neither religious nor dogmatic in our choice of wine. Some may call it nature, natural or low intervention wine, others may say clean, naked or even pure wine.

If it’s up to us, we prefer NOT to label individual wines as anything. We would rather let the wine tell its own story and show the many different shades of personalities, without any prejudice or bigotry. However, for ease of communication, we have chosen to stick with low intervention.

We select and handpick wines we love, from importers that we respect and admire. Our importers work with small family wineries that spend most of their time in the vineyards, working alongside and within nature. Our selection of wines express their surroundings and heritage, in other words their ‘terroir’.

We strongly believe that it is important that the ecology and biodiversity of the land is respected and that the winemakers approach is adapted to their surroundings. Most of the winemakers we regard as friends — they’re the ones doing the hard work to ensure sustainable solutions for future generations and our part is to communicate their work.

To put it simply, we love to support and drink wine that has personality and intrigue. Artisanal wine with a minimal and low intervention approach in both the cellar and the vineyard. An honest product representing terroir, the grapes and the winemaker.

About Us

We are two curious drinkers, friends and colleagues, Aleksander Haugstrup Lehm and Frederik Kordt Lassen. We have a combined 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. From working in high end Michelin restaurants to small local wine bars, our experience has brought us to all corners of the wine industry. Starting as trained sommeliers drinking the big classic benchmark wines of the world, but the past 5 years working only with wines of low intervention. To be honest, we have had our fair share of wine throughout the years.

We have always enjoyed sharing our knowledge and experience about wine — talking, drinking and discussing. But working in a restaurant sets the limits of who to influence and share that knowledge with. The subscription boxes allow us to provide a platform where we, as passionate wine drinkers, can share our curiosity and encourage greater engagement when it comes to low intervention wine.

We have poured and drunk the full spectrum of much of what the wine world has to offer, but we have come to a point of no return. Our dedication is now to wine made of — Simply Grapes. Our goal is to convey and share our common interest in wine with all our subscribers, our so called “Loyal Grapes”. To have you along as part of the journey in low intervention wine, sharing knowledge, discussions and most importantly, good times with good wines.
